ADJUDICATOR: GRAHAM WHETTER

Graham Whetter is a highly experienced musician with more than Sixty years’ experience in the music industry.
He has been involved in Choral Directing for over Sixteen years, receiving training at Harmony Colleges in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Hobart. He has performed as a musical director, choir trainer, choir-member, and as a member of several Barbershop Quartets.
Graham worked for many years as musical director of the Adelaide Festival Statesmen.
 
During this time, he was very active in supporting youth development initiatives - offering great support to groups such as the Fishbowl Boys and the Adelaide Festival Statesmen Youth Chorus.
 
Graham’s musical pursuits were evident early in his life when he was awarded the “Adelaide College of Music Scholarship” in the field of singing. Additionally, he is a talented multi-instrumentalist who has performed on a variety of instruments since the age of seven. He has performed on Cornet, Tenor Horn, Baritone and Tuba. He also plays Guitar and Ukulele.
 
Graham is also a talented ventriloquist, and has appeared in numerous live broadcasts with channels 7, 9 and 10, with a special emphasis on television for children.
